Customization Process: Creating Unique and Distinctive Spaces
At Ol&lO, every project is an opportunity to create bespoke spaces that stand out for their aesthetics and exceptional quality. Our customization process is designed to meet the expectations of private owners, foundations and art collections, offering unique solutions that combine creativity, durability and high standards.
Customization steps
Our approach begins with an initial consultation to fully understand the needs and constraints of each project. Each step of the process is then customized:
Initial Consultation: Identification of aesthetic and technical requirements, study of architectural context and customer preferences. For more information, visit our Initial Consultation page.
Custom Design: Creation of aesthetic proposals in harmony with the existing space, using ecological and innovative materials. See our Custom Design page.
Prototype and Validation: Production of prototypes to validate the choice of materials, textures and finishes with the customer. To find out more, visit our Prototype and Validation page.
Manufacturing and Installation: Implementation of customized solutions by qualified craftsmen, while respecting deadlines and quality standards. Visit our Manufacturing and Installation page.
Customized finishes : Adjusting finishes to customer requirements for exceptional results. Find out more on our Custom Finishes page.
Projects in Harmony with High-Standard Environments
In a private residence in Provence, we designed waxed concrete finishes using local natural pigments, creating a perfect harmony with the house's Mediterranean style. Wall textures and floors were designed to create visual harmony, while optimizing the use of sustainable resources and minimizing the ecological footprint.
Ecological commitment
Ecological commitment is at the heart of our approach. We favor the use of local materials, such as plaster, to reduce the carbon footprint and better integrate materials into their natural environment. For example, during our project at the Fondation Luma in Arles, the use of local plaster enabled us to significantly reduce the carbon footprint, while providing an aesthetic finish in line with ecological requirements. Unlike materials such as plastic, glass or steel, plaster is lighter, easier to work with and extracted locally. This makes it a sustainable alternative for interior finishes.
We optimize resources at every stage, reducing waste by reusing offcuts and adopting eco-responsible processes. Compared with glass or steel, our approach with materials such as plaster and waxed concrete is much more respectful of the environment.
Benefits for art institutions and collections
For institutions and art collections, customization creates spaces with a unique character. Our tailor-made solutions respect ecological commitments, such as the reduction of site waste and the use of materials with a low carbon footprint. For example, our work at Palazzo Grassi has enabled us to create installations that respect the historic character while using sustainable materials.
A Commitment to Unique and Sustainable Spaces
Each project reflects the vision and identity of our customers. Whether for a private owner or an institution, Ol&lO offers customized solutions that combine art, innovation and respect for the environment.
